Tuition

Weekly Tuition Rate:  Tuition is $30 per 30-minute lesson for those who sign up for a weekly lesson schedule ($120for a 4 lesson month, $150 for 5). If a student begins taking lessons in the middle of the month the lessons are prorated accordingly (Ex. 2 lessons = $60).

Single Lesson Rate:  For students who cannot commit to a weekly lesson schedule, we offer single lessons at a slightly higher rate of $35 per 30-minute lesson.  As a confirmation and guarantee to the teacher, payment is due before the lesson takes place. Please call in advance to check teacher availabilities and to set a lesson date.

Due Date: PAYMENT IS DUE ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH FOR THAT ENTIRE UPCOMING MONTH. If payment is not brought current by the 15th of the month, a $10 late charge will be assessed to your account.

Payment methods:  We recommend that all students use our auto-pay service, which requires credit/debit card details or checking account info.  This method helps to ensure that tuition is paid on time and in full.  There is a small fee for the use of the autopay system to cover processing fees.  Fees are 1% for bank drafts and 3% for credit or debit cards. If you are not able to use our autopay service, we also accept cash payments or checks.

Holidays & Teacher Cancellations: There is no charge for the holidays on which we are closed.  These include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, and New Year’s Eve & Day.  If a teacher cancels a lesson you may schedule a makeup lesson or receive credit a future lesson.

Absences & Discontinuing Lessons

The following policies are necessary because our teachers’ time is valuable and because the occupancy of the rooms is in demand.

Missed lessons:

Excused Absence: Anytime you need to cancel a lesson we request a 24 hour notice.  If this is not possible we require a minimum of 3 hours notice so that we can fill your spot with another student.  No-shows or less than 3 hours notice is considered an unexcused absence and no make-up credit will be given.  We will try our best to schedule a make-up lesson for excused absences within four weeks of the absence, though it is not guaranteed.

Make-Up Lessons Policies:

.

  • Excused absence make-up credits must be used within one month of issue date.

  • Make-up lessons can only be scheduled for existing students.  They may not be scheduled after a student discontinues lessons and cannot be transferred to siblings or other students.

Unexcused Absence: If we receive less than a 3 hour notice for a cancellation, the absence is considered unexcused. No make-up credit will be given.

Discontinuing Lessons: When a student wishes to discontinue lessons, or take any length of time off, we must be notified before the scheduled lesson times.  We assume that all students plan on continuing lessons into the next month unless told otherwise.  Notification must be received by calling our store at 724-934-1090 or emailing us at waddellsmusic@gmail.com
