DAVE IGLAR


Dave Iglar is widely recognized as one of Pittsburgh's most talented and entertaining performers.  Over the years Dave has built a notable reputation as a musical entertainer in the Pittsburgh region. His musical experience includes nearly a dozen publicly released recordings, thousands of performances at clubs, festivals, colleges, special events, on radio & TV.  He's performs regularly in the Dave Iglar Band, contributing as a songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and harmonica player.

Mark DeMeno

MARK DEMENO

Mark is a multi-instrument musician who teaches guitar, bass guitar, and piano.  He started learning guitar at 8 years old and is an accomplished lead and rhythm player.  His education includes classical guitar studies at the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University and piano and bass studies at the Community College of Allegheny County.  Mark has played bass for the Dave Iglar Band since 1999 and performs regularly in the Pittsburgh area.

JOHN BAKER

John has been teaching acoustic, electric, and bass guitar for over 25 years. He's played with several bands in the Pittsburgh area. His teaching styles include blues, rock, jazz, and contemporary music. John believes students need to learn how to read music, play chords, and keep steady rhythm. He studied guitar with a cohort of Joe Negri and holds a Master of Science degree from La Roche College.
Jeff Pogas Jeff Pogas

Mr. Pogas began playing guitar at the age of 14 after being inspired by Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song.  He studied with a private instructor for 3 years and began gigging at the age of 17.  Over the next few years, he played in several bands in the Pittsburgh area before moving to Hollywood, CA to attend Musicians Institute where he graduated with honors.  Jeff then moved back to Pittsburgh to teach private lessons full time.  From 1991 to 2004 he worked with 3 different bands playing shows and dance music on some of the worlds most prestigious cruise ships including Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Carnival Cruise Lines. Jeff has performed with many stars including Ben Vereen, Fred Travelina, and Star Search winner Kenny James.  Currently, Mr. Pogas is playing with That 80's Band and performing many solo gigs.

Wayne Bartley

Wayne is an international recording artist who has worked with various bands and artists over his career.  He has wrote and recorded a CD: A Means to Know End with "Order of Nine" with Nightmare Records (released internationally).  Among the other international recording artists/bands Wayne has worked with are Mark Zonder (percussionist for prog metal band "Fates Warning"), DC Cooper (vocalist for Royal Hunt, Silent Force, & DC Cooper), & Jim Dofka.  While Wayne's influences include Eddy Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Randy Rhodes, he teaches all styles of guitar.  He has worked as an entertainer on Royal Caribbean cruise ships where he played Top 40 Rock, Jazz, Big Band, Country, 50s & 60s Rock n Roll, Motown, Disco, Ballroom Dancing, etc.  Wayne teaches sight reading, chart reading, ear training, song writing, improvisation, theory, & music production (including programming, production software & devices, and running equipment).  He'll teach nearly any song you want to learn provided you bring a recording, and will customize your lessons to achieve your specific goals!

justin-bechak-with-guitar Justin Bechak

Justin Bechak is a multi-instrumentalist who teaches guitar and piano.  He holds a Master's Degree in Music Performance from Duquesne University; and has studied under several of Pittsburgh's jazz legends including Joe Negri, Mike Tomaro, Ken Karsh and John Wilson.  Justin has worked as a musician for Carnival Cruiselines, performing everything from Dixieland music to Vegas-style production shows.  Over the years he has shared the stage with international performers including Early Clover (of The Coasters), Peter Phillips (from Herbie Hancock's Speak Like a Child), Reggie Watkins (trombonist for Jason Mraz and Maynard Ferguson), and Jason Miller (of Rusted Root) to name a few.  In the Mid-Atlantic U.S., Bechak is best known for his work in the fused-house trio 3 Apples High, who in Pitt News' Best of 2003 edition, were voted runner-up as 'Best Band in Pittsburgh'. Justin Bechak is an active composer, whose works have been featured on WYEP FM Radio and in local independent films.
